STRUCTURE
Rhinoceros is a 3D software for modeling all kinds of projects with precision, preparing them for rendering, animation, drafting, engineering, analysis, and fabrication. In the Rhino 3D course, available online or in-person, we will work starting from a sketch, a drawing, a physical model, or just an idea.
> FIRST PART. Rhino 3d
This is the most important aspect and will therefore take up the most time. Students in our Rhino course, offered both online and in-person, will learn the basic concepts of 3D modeling with Rhino, the interface, and how to create simple 3D models using various straightforward strategies by editing solids. Later, we will move on to exercises involving complex surfaces and extracting information for digital fabrication. While we will primarily work with NURBS geometry, the foundation of Rhino, we will also explore other geometric entities, such as SubD for organic modeling and meshes.
> SECOND PART. Rendering
Most interesting tools for making 2d, animation, screenshots, etc. Together with Rhino render improvements to assign pre-made materials.
> THIRD PART. Parametric Design
Brief introduction to the plugin GRASSHOPPER for Rhino, a graphical algorithm editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3-D modeling tools. Unlike RhinoScript, Grasshopper requires no knowledge of programming or scripting, but still allows designers to build form generators from the simple to the awe-inspiring. The idea is to compare Rhino and Grasshopper workflows and connections, and also discover the power of this tool for advanced design.
> FOURTH PART. Digital Fabrication
To conclude the course, we will provide an introduction to the main digital fabrication methods and their tools through videos and exercises. We will cover the advantages, differences, and techniques for preparing a digital file for each system, typically focusing on 3D printing, CNC laser cutting, or milling machines, with an emphasis on prototyping, models, and similar projects.

Expand Your 3D Modeling Skills with Flexible Training
The Rhino Online Course by Controlmad offers a versatile learning experience designed for those who want to master Rhinoceros from anywhere, with a professional approach. Through live sessions and interactive materials, students work with real models, gaining skills that can be applied to architectural, industrial, and interior design projects.
Thanks to its hybrid format, the program allows participants to choose between taking the Rhinoceros course online or attending in person at Controlmad’s facilities, which are equipped for digital fabrication and prototype development. This flexibility makes it an ideal option for professionals who want to combine learning with their day-to-day work.
In addition to mastering the essential tools of the software, participants learn strategies for organizing complex projects, managing curves and surfaces, and exporting their designs for fabrication or 3D printing. All of this is supported by certified instructors who guide students step by step throughout the learning process.
Whether taken in person or as an online Rhino course, this training combines technical rigor with creative vision, helping architects, designers, and engineers integrate Rhinoceros into their workflows and enhance their productivity in real-world projects.
